Dental X-rays
During each visit to our office, our staff will advise you to have only the most necessary films taken of your teeth and related structures. All of our staff is trained and certified or licensed to make sure that the most current standards and techniques are being utilized for your maximum safety and diagnostic value. We welcome any and all questions regarding the process and need for diagnostic films of the best quality possible.
Even with the most comprehensive type radiographic exam, you will receive on an average far less background radiation then you do sitting in front of your family TV.
The most common size film used is a periapical or bitewing film, which is similar to the 35mm camera slide in size and quality of image and is an intraoral type X-ray.
