Children's Dentistry: We are a family dental practice and children are some of our most favorite people. Dr Schwan comes from a family of teachers (parents and grandparents), he has four children and six grandchildren with two on the way. Dr Schwan is blessed with a staff that enjoys seeing children and we insure that every visit to our office is a pain free and pleasant experience for the entire family.
Our goal is to provide an emotionally positive experience and introduce the entire family to what a modern dental practice can provide. We emphasize preventive habits that cover good oral hygiene and diet at home coupled with regular check up visits with our office twice a year. It's very important that parents to do not pass on their own history of possibly bad experiences at the dentist by expressing anxiety or discussing how the dentist will not hurt and please avoid using words like needle, drill or shot. Dr Schwan and staff are highly trained to introduce children to the dental experience in a positive way that is very successful when coupled with the right kind of help from parents and other children in the family.
